The Super Robot Wars series are tactical games that do work in a similar matter as FF Tactics, on the battlefield anyway. It goes from mission to mission. Terrain(on land) and space debris factors apply, depending on unit position and capabilities. That video posted is what you can generally expect as a result when you face off a real type robot(Legend Gundam) with a super robot(Big O). Of course, there are exceptions...

I mentioned a while back that Daymos' kid might like this classic game.

Great way to learn the buttons!

I must confess, I really loathe that game. I only played the demo from the 'offical playstation magazine', I'm hoping that scene there was the training mode and there was some sort of real fighting to it and it wasn't just a strange sort of music game.

My son is getting pretty good at games for being 6, passed my wifes skills sometime ago. Yesterday I had gran tursimo 4 up on my dads tv and after 1 lap of bumping the walls he was able to run several clean laps not getting turned around or madly running off course, quite a feat if you've played a sim racer like that, especially with the wacked out button mapping I use (gas is up on the right stick, brake is L1). It's all about painfully learning 1 game from the ground up and then applying those skills to the next game, which is then much easier, he's got anything that plays like a 2d or 3d zelda down (except zeldaII >.>). I imagine he can do driving games now from starting in mario kart and a little grand theft auto4 (with the sound off :p )

aww I wish I still had that wheel, the one that came out with gt4. I ended up taking it back to the store and getting world of warcraft when I realized B spec in gt4 let you CHEAT on the endurance races, that and the pointless arcade mode sort of destroyed gt4 for me. I actually loved the endurance events in gt3 :D

I don't think many of you played the Final Fantasy VIII trial cd. I had the pleasure of playing it and was amazed how far Square progressed since FF VII.

Not really a gaming moment, but an example of how Square should commercialize FF14.
