Ethy asked about bad breath in cats a couple of nights ago, but there was really no way to hold a full and/or detailed conversation on this subject in LS chat. So, to help her (and anyone else) out, I pulled up this info from Cornell Universtity (the site I frequent a LOT since I work with so many animals, mostly cats).

I do want to emphasize that most of the time, bad breath is just bad breath. Older cats, in particular, can be prone to it. What this article does not say, is that it can also be caused by a simple cold, flu, or sinus infection. My little Punkin recently shared a currently circulating bug with me and her bwef stinked! 8x

(Yes, cats and people can share some common viruses, such as colds and flu's.)
