While I may have a Christian background, I say the same thing towards the fundamentalist sect of such.

I'm not a very religious person, but I respect people and their beliefs, but for people to get upset because a song that plays in the game, most likely for like 3 seconds, quotes two verses from the Qur'an seems kind of ridiculous to me. Some people need to just be a little more open minded with things and let it go. I also think "Eager" players need to get a life also. The game got held back an extra week to take the song out...Oh, no what ever shall we do? Suck a dick! If it's really that important that you can't wait another week, you should probably kill yourselves.

It's not the recall that is getting people pissy, it's the reasoning behind the recall.
The product isn't defective.
The reason in of itself is uncalled for.

Not to mention the marketers are losing millions of dollars over something trivial.
The corporation is losing all of that money over something incredibly stupid and trivial. But because a MUSLIM group complained, that makes all the difference. If it were a Christian group complaining against Jesus being a recurring character in a game for comic relief, they wouldn't care.

Not to mention the composer himself is a Muslim.

Not to mention the game developers are paying out additional for something like this.

It's bad on all fronts.

To tell you the truth, I'm really surprised that no one said anything when SPORE came out. It's a game filling children heads with the idea of Evolution.

My biggest issue with this is that it's not even as if they're bashing anyone, or anything, the verses are merely being recited to music.

Get over it people, there's a reason why the world is as it is these days. It's due to people wigging out over stupid shit while more serious matters are being ignored.

I personally want to tranq (if they're lucky) everyone I see over react this way about anything.
